Riding in Traffic

Today's road conditions require all road users to treat others with respect and to understand each others' issues. This informally run session looks at how cyclists can help become more accepted by other road users by the way they position themselves and react towards traffic situations.

Suitable for:
Riders who have already mastered riding on the roads but who are looking to improve their traffic skills.

Content:
A session that looks at road user behaviour, common perceptions between different classes of road user, and how a someone riding a bike can improve their safety levels through road positioning and subliminal messaging. It is about "becoming part of the traffic".

Group Size:
Individual or to 3.

Ride duration
90 minutes.

Locations:
Various or to request, usually based in a town centre location with medium traffic levels.
