No one wants a problem when out riding. We can show you how to avoid problems and how to ensure you have a troublefree ride.
This is an introduction to looking after your own bike.

Anyone wishing to learn more about how a bike works, how to maintain it, and how to carry out simple repairs.

Suitable for:
Individuals, families, groups of friends, businesses, schools and community groups. Training is tailored to the trainees requirements, for example for going out on a family ride, riding with friends, cycling to work, or for specific needs such as achieving cub activity badges.

Content:
General cycle maintenance, Brakes, Gearing, Drivechain, Wheels, Lubrication, etc.
How to fix punctures, straighten wheels, adjust brakes and gears.
How to carry out both on-road and at-home repairs.
What tools to carry for when riding and for home workshops. Preventative maintenance. Emergency repairs.

Special, more detailed courses, can be provided on specific issues.
