Hampshire Cycle Training
Almost anyone can ride a bike and if you can't we will help you.
Cycling is brilliant fun for all ages. It does not need expensive equipment, it is sociable, healthy, and low cost. It can give you a level of fitness of someone 10 years younger. You live longer too.
It has that real feelgood factor with an addition grin!
Hampshire Cycle Training is a local non-profit organisation that has the aim of providing support and advice to people who ride or who wish to ride cycles.
You don't need masses of 'instruction' either as cycling is easy and simple. Here at HCT we don't do complicated stuff.
All our sessions are to suit your needs, whether for leisure, cycling to work or school, health or just for popping down to the shop. We give friendly help so you can enjoy your riding safely - as well as sharing the fun and enjoyment.
Many will remember the old Cycle Proficiency Test, but roads have changed and there is now a government approved National Standard for cycle training - Cycling Proficiency for the 21st Century!.
We were amongst the very first to offer this in Hampshire, using only fully nationally qualified instructors, and have trained several thousand riders since we began. We focus on Hampshire as it is the county we know - something we think is very important. We are not a remote organisation.
Training is for Adults, Children, Beginners – for everyone - with a focus on it being easy, enjoyable and informative.
This complements and extends the work carried out by the County Council and is a major step forward in cycle safety for both children and adults - indeed anyone who wants to ride a bike.
